Kinkakuji-temple(Golden Pavilion)
This temple was built in the late 14th century by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, the third Shogun of Ashikaga samurai government as his residence. After his death, it was turned into a Zen Buddhist temple according to his will. The scenery of the Golden Pavilion and the garden is breathtaking!

Ryoanji-temple
This temple has one of the most famous dry landscape gardens in Japan. It is said that the garden is the perfect expression of Zen and is one of the greatest masterpieces of Japanese culture.

This temple is one of the most important Zen Buddhist temples of the Rinzai Sect. The temple consists of Administrative Headquarters and the 24 sub-temples. We can visit some of them and appreciate their rock gardens.
