Horyuji Temple
Among the “Seven Great Buddhist Temples of Nara”, which are designated as world heritage sites, Horyuji is special. Because it possesses the oldest wooden structure in the world. It was founded in 607 AD by Prince Shotoku who is known as the Father of Japanese Buddhism.
