Osaka Castle
Osaka castle is the symbol of Osaka. The original castle was built in 1583 by a powerful samurai, Toyotomi Hideyoshi as his stronghold. The current castle main tower is the third-generation building reconstructed in 1931. But nearly 400years-old magnificent moats and stone walls still remain. More than one million people from home and abroad visit the castle annually.

Located in the center of MINAMI, an entertainment area of Osaka, Doton-bori is one of the lively places in Osaka. There are many restaurants, shops and theaters. Many restaurants have big advertisement figures on their billboard. They are now the landmark of Dotonbori district.

Umeda sky building is a landmark of north district of Osaka. It’s 40 storied building, 12th tallest in Osaka city. The observation corridor is called The Floating Garden Observatory, where people can enjoy panoramic view.

Osaka River Cruise
Osaka is often referred to as a city of water because there are many rivers and canals. Taking a boat and viewing the city landscape from rivers is another way to enjoy Osaka. The best season to take the boat would be early spring when cherry blossoms bloom. The scenery of blooming cherry trees on the river banks is breathtaking!
