Owakudani Valley

hakone owaku valley v-789 26-9-23

Owakudani is the area around a crater created during the last eruption of Mount Hakone about 3000 years ago. Today,  the area is an active volcanic zone where sulfurous fumes and hot springs can be experienced. About 10 minutes walking leads from the ropeway station into the volcanic zone to some  steam vents and bubbling pools.
